Title: <\/b>Digital Forensics of Industrial Control Systems<\/b><\/p>\n Abstract\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Industrial control systems (ICS) are mainly used to control and monitor industrial processes and critical infrastructures such as oil and gas pipelines, power grid, and nuclear facilities. In case of a security breach (e.g., Stuxnet and Triton), their digital forensic investigation can reveal critical information about the attack. This talk will discuss digital forensics challenges in ICS environments, particularly field sites, and present practical approaches to acquiring and analyzing digital evidence from field devices.<\/p>\n Biography<\/strong><\/p>\n Irfan Ahmed is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He is the Director of the Security and Forensics Engineering (SAFE) Lab at VCU and a faculty fellow of VCU Cybersecurity Center. His research interests are broadly in cybersecurity, currently focusing on digital forensics, malware, cyber-physical systems, and cybersecurity education.
