Invited Talk: Emerging trend and techniques for railway track condition monitoring
Abstract: Due to technological advancements, efficient and effective railway track conditioning monitoring has become an increasingly important issue. Previous trends included modal analysis, transient structural testing and operational load monitoring whereas high speed railway tracks require precision in structural health monitoring based on large amount of data gathering. Therefore, in recent times, railway track behavior is assessed by real time data logging in inspection and detection of degradation and failure of the railway track using Open Service software like Python. This presentation covers principal trends for monitoring in railways, detailed overview of the advancement in the sensing and data acquisition for determining the track behavior in the various harsh conditions that enables predictive track maintenance.
