Invited Talk: Network Requirements for Smart Applications: Challenges and Solutions.
Abstract: Smart cities provide infrastructural support for urban density problems. Core of smart applications require efficient network infrastructure both at the edge layer and at the data center. There are challenges related to higher latency, timeliness, massive and heterogeneous network traffic, and security and privacy breaches. Motivated by these scenarios, this talk will be focused on explaining network requirements and challenges related to smart cities. The talk will also discuss approaches and solutions to meet these challenges. It will also cover directions for future research.
